How mineral salts are uptaken by plants from soil?

The mineral and salts which are dissolved in water are uptaken by plants along with water from soil.

The mineral salts are already mixed with the ground water. As the plant feels the need of water, the roots of the plants seeps to the ground water with mineral salts and it uptakes it from the soil
