How mission kakatiya is useful for fresh water eco system

Mission Kakatiya is a program of restoring all the tanks and lakes in Telangana. It was inaugurated by chief minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao on 12 March 2015.
As part of the program more than 45,000 tanks will be restored at the cost of Rs. 2,00,000 crore in 5 years.
The program encompasses food security, livelihoods, environmental and cultural components.
As a result of restoring the tanks 250 - 270 TMC of water will be available for irrigation, agriculture, drinking water needs and livestock. In this way the Kakatiya mission is useful for fresh water ecosystem.
Mission kakatiya actually a program for Telangana lakes and tanks . The purpose is to restore them . The program was launched back in the year 2015 under which 45000 tanks of the area have to be restored and this water is to be used for many purpose. The water is used to for the agriculture purpose along with to fulfill livestock needs. It will also help in providing the drinking water . This way the fresh water ecosystem will be improved and water will use as fresh water for domestic use and help in solving the food security issue. The total water about 270 TMC will be available for various purposes.
