When the Prince of Morocco meets with Portia, he tells her that he is often considered very handsome on account of his black skin.
The prince of Morocco is proud of his noble birth. He boasts about himself saying that he is very brave and has defeated various famous rulers including the Sulthan of Turkey. He says that he is proud of his complexion and would not exchange it unless if it is to gain the love of Portia. He says that the lottery of caskets is a chance and he would have won the heart of Portia if the man who is most brave or the man with the reddest blood would win....

The Prince of Morocco addresses portia by saying, "Mislike me not for my complexion".He is dark skin and is aware of the racist ideologies in Portia's society. He is right to assuage her doubts since she made racist remarks before their meeting. Unlike Othello's Desdemona, Portia had claimed, "If he has the condition of the saint and the complexion of a devil, I had rather he should shrive me than wive me.

Morroco declares that his blood is as red as the fairest creature northward born, indicating that he is as worthy as any white men.In fact, he is proud of his hue stating that he would not change it , "Except to steal your thoughts, my gentle queen". He espouses his valour, saying that he would easily win Portia if it were a test of courage!

Hope it helps u!
Thnx!!!
