1000 joules. since there is a law that the energy passing onto the other levels is reduced by 90% and only 10% of energy is passed..as the energy is used by the organisms in each trophic level.

100,000 Joules of energy for the plant(producer) → 10000J for goat(primary consumer) → 1000JMan(Secondary consumer) → 100J Tertiary Consumer

Explanation:

  • In the food chain, each lower trophic level organism receives 10% of the previous level.
  • If the producer avails 1,00,000 J of energy, it's 10% i.e. '10,000 J' would be available to the primary consumer.
  • Similarly, the secondary consumer would avail 10% of the energy available to the secondary consumer(man) i.e. 1000(10,000 * 10/100) and the tertiary consumer will have 100J of energy.
