Answer:

Answer : The amount of heat needed is, 10465 grams

Solution :

Formula used :

Q= m\times c\times \Delta TQ=m×c×ΔT

where,

Q = heat gained

m = mass of the substance = 100 g

c = heat capacity of water= 4.186 J/g°C

\Delta T=\text{Change in temperature}=(50-25)=25^oCΔT=Change in temperature=(50−25)=25oC

Now put all the given values in the above formula, we get the amount of heat needed.

Q=100g\times 4.186J/g^oC\times25^oCQ=100g×4.186J/goC×25oC

Q=10465JQ=10465J

Therefore, the amount of heat needed is, 10465 grams
