The plains are most densely populated regions because-

1) They are flat, hence easy to live on and transport goods.

2) Fertile soil is available so agriculture is possible.

3) Rivers are found which is a prominent reason for human settlement.

Answer:90%

i) Plain areas are flat, so easy to live but areas like mountainous are not flat, hence we have to climb a lot for searching food and for other basic activities.

ii) Agriculture is also possible in plain areas unlike mountainous areas as fertile soil is available in plains but not in mountains.

iii) Fresh water bodies like rivers are also found in plains which is a basic thing for someone's life.
