The pressure exerted by the air is 14 pounds per sq. inch at sea level. It is acting not only on the head, but on the whole body from all sides. Right from birth to death.

the pressure carried on our head is called atmospheric pressure, it is all around us. we dont feel it as the pressure inside us and outside us are equal and therefore, they cancel each other
