The pressure exerted by the air surrounding us, on not only our head but our whole body, is nearly 9843 kg/ m2.

This amount of pressure can easily crush a thick steel wall into a plane sheet. We do not feel this pressure because of the numerous fluids present inside our body which counter balance this pressure.

There is a lot of pressure that is exerted on our head from outside due to atmospheric pressure which is nearly about  15 Pounds approximately.

Explanation:

  • We can say it like carrying a small car on a heads but this pressure goes unknown or an felt by us because of the pressure that the particles of the body or from inside our heads is exerted is completely equal to the the one exerted from outside.
  • Hence the two forces acting cancel out each other keeping our body in a position of equilibrium.
