Answer:

Volume of rubber pipe = 3,846.5‬ cm3

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to find the volume of rubber needed to fabricate the pipe.

Now the general formula for the volume of pipe is

V = π * radius² * length

Now we calculate the volume for outer radius of pipe

V = π * 10.5² * 20

V(outer) = 6,923.7‬ cm3

Now we calculate the volume for inner radius of pipe

V = π * 7² * 20

V(inner) = 3,077.2 cm3

Volume of rubber pipe = 6,923.7‬ - 3,077.2

Volume of rubber pipe = 3,846.5‬ cm3

Given : 20 cm rubber pipe with outer radius 10.5 cm and inner radius 7 cm

To find : How much rubber is required to make  pipe

Solution:

To  rubber  required to make 20 cm pipe with outer radius 10.5 cm and inner radius 7 cm  , we need to find volume of rubber used in pipe

Hence we need to find Volume of Solid pipe

Hence Volume of Extrenal Pipe  - Volume of internal pipe  will give  the rubber used to make pipe

Rubber used to make pipe  =   πR²h  - πr²h

R = External radius  = 10.5 cm

r =  Inner radius = 7 cm

h = height = 20 cm

π = 22/7

Rubber required to make pipe  = (22/7)(10.5)² * 20  -  (22/7)(7)²*20

= 6930 - 3080

= 3850 cm³

Rubber required to make pipe  =  3850 cm³
