How much time is given to the Vidhan Parishad for passing an ordinary bill?

Answer: 14 Days.

Explanation:

A money bill can only be introduced first in the Vidhan Sabha. The bill includes imposition or abolition of taxes, giving authorisation in respect of the expenditure which is to be undertaken by the Government, borrowing, etc.

After the recommendation of the Governor, the bill is introduced by a Minister. It cannot be initiated by a private member. The bill is certified as a money bill by The Speaker of the Vidhan Sabha. Once  After the money bill has been passed by the Vidhan Sabha, it  then goes to the Vidhan Parishad.

The Vidhan Parishad has to return the above bill with or without its recommendation within 14 days.
