Answer by Fombitz(32376) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Write the concentration equation. Water is 0%.

0%2AX%2B100%2A30=40%28X%2B30%29

3000=40X%2B1200

40X=1800

X=1800%2F40

X=45liters

Step-by-step explanation:

Let X litres be a solution.

Also Strength of solution is 40%.

Then ,

=>X × 40 % = 30

=> X × 40/100 = 30

=> X = 30 × 100/40

=> X = 75 litres

Also Quantity of alcohol = 30 litre

=> Quantity of Water = 75 litre - 30 litre

=> Quantity of Water = 45 litre .
