How much water should be added to 15g of sugar to prepare a 15% sugar solution

Mass % = [Mass of solute / Mass of solution] × 100
15 = [15 / (15 + M)] × 100
15 / 15 = 100 / (15 + M)
15 + M = 100
M = 85 g

Mass water to be added is 85 g
If Volume is asked then volume of water to be added is 85 ml [∵ density of water is 1 g/ml]
