Given:

✰ Length of the ground = 8 cm = 0.08 m

✰ Breadth of the ground = 50 m

To find:

✠ How much will it cost to cover the ground with sand at the rate of ₹20 per sq. meter?

Solution:

First we will find the area of the ground by using formula and doing required calculations, then we will find the cost to cover the the ground with sand.

As the length of the ground is in centimetre units so we will convert it into proper unit of meter, because the two quantities should be of same kind or of same unit.

⇾ 1 cm = 1/100 m

⇾ 8 cm = 8/100 m

⇾ 0.08 m

Area = length × breadth

➛ Length of the ground = 0.08 m

➛ Breadth of the ground = 50 m

➛ Area of the ground = 0.08 × 50

➛ Area of the ground = 4

Now,

➤ The cost to cover the ground with sand per m² = ₹20

➤ The cost to cover the ground with sand per 4 m² = ₹20 × 4

➤ The cost to cover the ground with sand per 4 m² = ₹80

It will cost ₹80 to cover the ground with sand
