Given:

Unit charge is moved in potential difference of 30 volts.

To find:

Work done ?

Calculation:

  • Potential difference in a circuit is defined as the work done to transport a unit positive charge from one place to another in an uniform electric field.

  • In other words, potential difference is equal to the work done divided by the magnitude of charge.

PD =  \dfrac{work}{charge}

 \implies 30 =  \dfrac{work}{1}

 \implies work = 30 \times 1

 \implies work = 30  \: Joule

So, work done is 30 Joules.
