I realise a lot of people have less than perfect families. I don't consider my own family to be perfect either, because, honestly, they're not. I have a lot of issues that at times make me feel really distant and detached from my family. But I do understand that they've always wanted the best for me and worked hard to get the best for me irrespective of their own conditions.

That being said, as I grow up, I find myself more accepting and understanding of how family may be abusive and how friends may be the support system we need when family fails. And for that, I'm really thankful to my support system
