Totally depends on the baby or babies that she is feeding.
Typically, an exclusively breastfed baby will drink around 750mls of milk a day, so that’s what the mother produces. But if she’s feeding twins, she will produce 1500ml. And for triplets it’s 2250ml.
I know of one woman who exclusively breastfed quints, so she was producing around 3750ml per day.
If you are tandem nursing, it won’t be twice what a newborn drinks, but it will be a lot more than one baby.
In addition, some women pump milk to donate to the milk bank, or just to have a stash built up in case she’s not around at any point.
