Nationalism in Britain was different from that of Greece ,Italy and Germany because-
1. Formation of nation state of Britain was not the result of nay upheaval or war but a long drawn process.
2. There lived the English ,Welsh , Scottish, Irish in past.
3. But with the time, English grew in power and wealth. So they wanted to impact others.
4. So , in 1707 Act of Union was formed. It made Scotland dependent upon English.
5. Result-
Whenever English increased their influence, Scot's culture had to compromise.
6. English flag and National anthem 'God save our noble king' were prepared.
7. Others became the subordinate parts whereas English became most important.
