I am in 10th so I forget about cycle but answer is that leguminous plants have certain bacteria in its root which will absorb nitrogen from atmosphere though lighting or some other way and fix it in soil that is why we are advices to plant legiminous plants like peas between crops and example of one such bacteria is rhysophus
