How nmr can distinguish aromatic ,nonaromatic, and antiaromatic compound on the basis of 5 marks?
Answers
Aromatic
Perfume compounds
A. There are benzene cycles in their structure
b.have the greater percentage of carbon than non-fragrant compounds
E. For example - benzene, naphthaline, pyridine etc.
2. Antiaromatic compounds-
A. Cycle compounds but not the benzene cycle
B. Mainly alphabetic compounds
c.examples - cyclobutadiene, cyclohexane etc.
3. Non Aromatic
Not a fragrant compound-
A. Can be shrunk or cyclical but not the benzene cycle
b.saturated or unsaturated compounds.
C. Do not show resonance in their framework.
d.Mainly display electrophilic feedback.
Aromatic molecules are cyclic, conjugated, have (4n+2) pi electrons, and are flat. Anti-aromatic molecules are cyclic, conjugated, have (4n) pi electrons, and are flat. Non-aromatic molecules are every other molecule that fails one of these conditions.
