how object can be virtual?

for example: you are standing 2m far from mirror so in mirror also u see the same distance you standing in it i.e 2m apart.and you cannot touch that I'm age(as the mirror in in between)
so in this case the (you (in mirror)) object is virtual...

Virtual images are images that are formed in locations where light does not actually reach .

Light does not actually pass through the location on the other side of the mirror , it only appears to an observer as though the light is coming from this location .
