the main reason is menstrual cycle. when fertilization of the ovum is not done then the thickened uterus lining breaks and comes in form of blood through vagina which we call periods

Periods also known as menstruation is common in girls who has reached puberty or sexual maturity. It is caused by tearing of endometrium, a part of uterine tissues due to the dropping in hormonal levels in women. The ovary releases one ovum every month. If the ovum fails to fertilise, it is expelled out of the body along with blood and mucus from the vagina
