How pollen grain represents immature male gametophyte?

Well as much as I know I will tell you which may help you...
The pollen grains are a type of male gametophyte..
If you compare it with previous generations of plants or we could say the ancestors of angiosperms.
They are much bigger and looks at least like a body with required number of cells which we could consider it as a different stage of life cycle of the plants...
But in angiosperms the pollen grains that is the male gametophyte it is just made up of two cells which is too short to be considered as a mature body as compared to its ancestors..
The two cells in the pollen grain is,
The pollen tube forming cell
and
The generative cells...
These things were also seen in the ancestors male gametophyte but with many more cells forming a body like structure...
Hence, pollen grains can be considered as immature male gametophyte..
