Poverty in India is a very deep enrotten problem which has prevailed here from the starting on human race.
The people who dont have money or are iniferior by caste or religion are usually considered poor.

In India it is fixed by per day calorie consumption:
1. Rural areas: people who consume below 2400 calories are considered poor.
2. Urban areas: people who consume below 2100 calories are considered poor.
