Anode rays consist of +a charge. so they tilt next to perforated cathode. Perforated cathode consist of negative charge. Perforated cathode pass through the anode rays. They pass next by canals or holes which produce fluorescence. So, they pass with producing fluorescence. That's why Anode rays are known as canal rays.
