How rainbow is formed?

Rainbow is caused by the refraction of light. when light pass through the water droplets it scatters the light into spectrum of 7 colour Violet, Blue, Green,Yellow,Orange,Red hence rainbow is formed.

rainbow forms when sunlight hits the water droplets suspended in the atmosphere and undergoes total internal reflection.
when the sunlight comes out of the drop it disperses, where the drop act like a small prism.
the dispersion or breaking up of light in several colours form the rainbow !!!
