how resistance vary with area of conductor

the increasein cross-sectional area there will be decrease in resistance and vice-versa. Resistanceis inversely proportional to the croos sectionarea.

Hi !

Resistance of a conductor depends on the following factors :

a) Length of the wire / conductor
b)Area of cross section of the conductor

Resistance is directly proportional to the length of the conductor.
On the other hand , resistance is inversely proportional to area of cross section of the conductor. When area increases , resistance decreases , and vice versa
