It has more advanced technological edge. So any country that wishes to be powerful, must focus on developing science in all areas. India, in the recent past has carved a respectable niche for herself in the field of science and technology. ISRO's successful mars mission, development of indigenous missiles, etc have won India quite an admiration worldwide. It has been possible only through science.
