asexual reproduction supports the reproduction of multiple or fast growing organisms not unlike sexual reproduction which supports the survival of the offspring of two individuals having sex. The simple organisms like algae and fungi for a thick outer covering during the unfavorable conditions and the organisms keep multiplying inside , once the conditions are favorable again the protective covering breaks and the organisms start reproducing normally . This is not the case in sexual reproduction.
