There is a sexual intimacy between two organisms which involves various internal and external hormones like pheromones. The organisms come in very close proximity and perform am act of copulation. This act ensures the transfer of male gamete towards the female gamete( most of the time). A series of biochemical reaction involve the fusion of both the gametes and forms the zygote. This process is called as fertilization.
