The process by which the sperm reach to ovum are as following :-

1. The MILLION of sperm cells that are relased into the female reproductive tract during intercourse

2. The sperm cell gain their full ability to swim when they are ejaculated into the reproductive tract

3. The sperm cells are enclosed in a fluid called SEMEN, which is a mix fluid from the tests , prostate and the bulbouethral glands

4. The fluid contains elements which protect the cell during their journey

5.Once inside the tubes the sperm cell follow signal from the supportive cells of the egg

6. On thr wat sperm cell undergoes a series of functional changes which prepare the sperm cells for FERTILIZATION

7. The sperm cells meet a barriers of CUMULUS CELLS surrounding the egg

8. The sperm cell must use their very special stroke known as HYPERACTIVATION.

9. The sperm cell then has to pass another barrier called the ZONA PELLUCIDA

10. These barriers which the sperm cell have to cross called ACROSOM3 REACTION

11. ENZYMES are relased from a deposite at the top of the sperm cell

12. When the sperm cell's head is inside the egg the tail of the sperm is detached and at that moment the ZONA PELLUIDS become impermeable to other sperm cell.
