synthetic fibre is a type of synthetic polymer and is man made. These polymer is made in laboratories or factories. This is a long chain containing thousands of monomer units .
terylene ( dacron ) forms strong fibres. It is used as a blend with cotton in clothing . it has specialized uses such as for seat belts and sails.
nylong 6 6 is a linear polymer and has very high tensile strength, it shows good resistance to abrasion. Nylon 66 is usually fabricated in to sheets , bristles for brushes and in textiles. Crinkled nylon fibres are used for making elastic hosiery.
