How t lymphocyte is responsible for graft rejection?

After transplantation of liver or other organs, antibody-mediated,  rejection can occur in individuals with preformed antibodies against the donor’s major histocompatibility complex . class I– encoded antigens. Under most other circumstances, acute allograft rejection is initiated by the large number of recipient T cells that recognize donor alloantigens (mostly those encoded by the highly polymorphic MHC)

cytotoxic killer cells (t lymphocytes) destroy our own infected cells such as cancer cells and other. so when they identify that the graft is not similar to genetic makeup of the individual,they will consider the graft cells as foreign particles and starts to degenerate it
