The answer is 3 cm. because distance of mirror from man is equal to distance of image from mirror .
Therefore if the distance between man and his image is 6 cm , then distance of mirror from image = distance of man from mirror.
=> distance of man form mirror = distance between man and his image/2= (6/2)m=3m.
