CHarkha was mainly used to make khakhi clothes and it symbolises to use our indian clothes during the freedom struggle and boycott foreign clothes and other goods.this was done mainly to make britishers economically weak by not providing service to english.hence,in this way by wearing indian clothes and using swadeshi goods,it brought the spirit of nationalism.
