Technological convergence is the process in which different technological systems evolve together in order to perform a similar task. For example, there are new phones coming out, taking over the old ones, because they can perform those same tasks but in more advanced manner and in the old times people used to listen to the radios and then they started listening to the radio with the help of the internet, but now they do not listen to the radios anymore because of the evolution of technological convergence. The reason for technological convergence is it's convenient and people have easier access to the things now as they had in the past. More technology means easier life.
The Internet so far is the best example of technological convergence because with the help of internet we can have access to anything in the world, for instance if we need to watch a movie or a show we will watch it online, if we have to listen to the latest song which came out or we need to access the radio of any country in the world we can do it with the internet.

The appearance of many new technologies have led to the convergence of traditional media (newspapers, radio, books, magazines even television to some extent) and new media(the internet) by changing the way people get their information.
