After the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, the Indians opposed it a lot. Rabindranath Tagore denied the knighthood given to him. Bhagat Singh and some of his followers blasted a bomb in the British Parliament.

The British hanged the people who rebelled against it. They also arrested many political leaders including Gandhiji who lead various movements all over the country.
