An induction stove works on the electro magnetic induction. A metal coil kept just beneath the cooling surface. It out Carey's alternating current so that AC produces an alternating magnetic field. When we keep a metal pan EMF is induced in it. Since the pan has a finite resistence, the flow of induced current in it produces heat in it and this heat is conducted to the water. That's why we call the stove as induction stove
