The small intestine has millions of tiny finger-like projections called villi. These villi increase the surface area for more efficient food absorption. Within these villi, many blood vessels are present that absorb the digested food and carry it to the blood stream.

⭐HEYA in your small intestine, many folds are there and these intestinal folds are called villi. These are microscopic.They help in increasing the absorption surface area of the intestine cz of them , the absorption of nutrients takes place [assimilation].
⭐Also there are lacteals /big lymph vessels near them that helps to transport these absorbed nutrients /glucose into the main blood stream to be used up in body
