How the middle class played a vital role in French revolution?

The Middle Class joined in. They were lumped together with the poor people in what was called the Third Estate. The First Estate was the Nobility and the Second Estate was the Catholic Church. If only the poor fought the revolution it would have been crushed and the monarchy retained.

The reason why the Middle Class joined in was because they had their own arguments about how things were being run.
