Molar mass of :-
C = 12 u
H= 1 u
Hence
CH4 = 1× 12 + 1×4
= 12+4
=16 u

Mahesh1970: c is 12 and H is 1 total 12+4=16

as we know that,
atomic mass of carcon =12u
atomic mass of hydrogen =1u
then,
molar mass of ch4=(12+1×4)u =(12+4)u=16u =16g
