There is about 78% of Nitrogen present in the atmosphere. This nitrogen is used by plants for nitrogen fixing in the roots ,the plants use nitrogen . Animal eat the food prepared by plants when the plants and animals die then the fungi and bacteria converted into nitrogen thus the equilibrium of Nitrogen present in the atmosphere is maintained.thus the percentage of nitrogen remains more or less constant.
