Urine is formed in nephrons of kidney in three processes:
1. Ultrafiltration, in which the liquid part of the blood is filtered out from the glomerulus into the cavity of Bowman's Capsule.
2. Selective Reabsorption, in which glucose, Na+, Cl-, and other important ions and water are absorbed by the Proximal Convoluted Tubule, Henle's Loop and Distal Convoluted Tubule.
3. Tubular secretion, in which the walls of PCT, DCT and Henle's loop secrete glucose and other ions and substances like nicotine into the urine.
This way urine is formed, which is collected in the collecting duct and finally exported through the urethra.
