Urine is formed in the kidneys through a filtration of blood. The urine is then passed through the ureters to the bladder, where it is stored. During urination, the urine is passed from the bladder through the urethra to the outside of the body.

This is done by controlling the volume of urine produced. The kidneys arecontrolled by a hormone called ADH (anti-diuretic hormone) which is produced by the pituitary gland. The brain detects any changes in the water concentration of the blood. ... If the water concentration rises, then less ADH is produced.
