We can add unlike fractions by making both fraction's denominator same by taking out LCM of both denominators .

For eg , Let us add two fractions 1/2 and 3/4

So the question is 1/2 + 3/4

LCM of 2 and 4 is 4

So now we will make the denominators same by multipying it

1/2×2/2 = 2/4

3/4×1/1=3/4

therefore , 2/4+3/4 = 5/4
