We know that ABCD is a square
therefore, let us assume AD= a
hence the diagonal AC=√2a
Similarly,
AG=b
therefore AF= √2b

substituting the values in question number 1
AF/AG=√2b/b (cancelling b) = √2
And
AC/AD=√2a/a (cancelling a) =√2
LHS =RHS
