HOW TO BALANCE A CHEMICAL EQUATION :-
Step 1: Write the equation to be balanced.
For example: H2 + O2 ⟶ H2O
Step 2: Write the number of molecules of each element in the equation.
For example: LHS | RHS
H = 2 | H = 2
O = 2 | O = 1
Step 3: Equalize the equation one by one.
For example:
Hydrogen are already equalised.
➢ H2 + O2 ⟶ 2H2O
Now, oxygen are equal but hydrogen are unequal.
➢ 2H2 + O2 ⟶ 2H2O
Now, everything in the equation is equal.
RHS | LHS
H = 4 | O = 2
H = 4 | O = 2
Hence, the equation is balanced.
