first you have to learn to speak, that means to first hear the then try to speak, watch chinese chanels and remember if you dont want to burden yourself dont learn how to write chinese before you knoes how to read most of them.

chinese words are very dificult that you haveto practice really alotand kept writing them to avoid forgetting, there are many chinese people themselves get stuck when they are asked to write some dificult words(not the simple ones like 一，二) because the extensive use of phone and computer leads to reducing the writing chances to practice.
