Intelligence comes with hard work and experiences.There is much difference between being intelligent and being a topper.One who follows rote learning can become a topper and one who analyses his work can also become a topper.
So, to become intelligent you need to analyse things in all possible ways and try to understand things right from grass root level and above all you must be attentive during classes.

Friend becoming a topper ain't so easy! I would love to share the way how I became a topper.
Firstly, your main goal should be to focus on everything what the teacher or professor is teaching.
Secondly, clarify all your doubts so that the scope is clear.
Thirdly, study as soon as the topic is being taught.
And lastly, try avoiding last minute study...
