In statistics,

1) Mean is calculated using the formula

Mean of data=\frac {Sum of all observations}{Total number of observations}

2)  Median is calculated based on two conditions

Case (i) If n, the number of observations, is an even number

Formula: Median of data=\frac 12 (\frac n2th\ term+(\frac n2+1)th\ term)

Case (ii) If n, the number of observations, is an odd number

Formula: Median of data=\frac{n+1}{2}th term

3) Mode of data is the observation with the maximum frequency in data.

For example, if the scores of 15 students are given as 39, 40, 40, 41, 42, 46, 48, 52, 52, 52, 54, 60, 62, 96, 98.

The mode of score of data is 52 because it has occurred three times which is the maximum

frequency when compared to other scores.
