Suppose in 5 subjects you scored ( 9,7,10,8,10,6 ). Each test was of 10 marks each. Then it's percentage will be 9+7+10+8+10+6/10*6×100 i.e. 50/60×100=5/6 × 100=500/6=83.3333. i.e. percentage = sum of scored marks/ sum of total marks( out of ) ×100.
